Building top producers nationwide
Protect today. Build tomorrow.
We don't chase strangers.
We advise families.
Imperial Group is an independent life insurance agency. We write term, whole life, indexed universal life, final expense, annuities, mortgage protection, and business coverage. You learn the products before you ever sit down with anyone. Most of the people here came in with no insurance background at all.
Independent contractor role. Not licensed yet? We will walk you through it.
Effectuated premium in this team's first month. Issue paid, not just submitted
You train with leadership from your first week, not month three
Insurance background required to apply
The advantage
Most agencies hand you one product.
We hand you the shelf.
Imperial is independent. We carry the full line, term through annuities, and we are not tied to one carrier's shelf. That is the whole advantage. You are never stuck steering a family toward the only thing your office sells. You listen to the situation, then reach for the product that fits it, and far fewer calls go to waste.
You start with people who already trust you, and you work a process that keeps the calendar moving after that. Leadership sits in on your early appointments and stays reachable after them.
Trained on every product
Term through annuities from the ground up, not a one hour overview.
Leadership in the room
A licensed broker on your first appointments, live, until you are ready to run them yourself.
A warm start, then a system
Begin with the people who know you. Keep going with a repeatable process instead of guesswork.
Sound like you?
Everyone here
started somewhere.
The three things we hear most, answered straight.
Neither had most of us. We teach the products, the questions to ask, and what to do when someone says no. Nobody expects you to know any of it in week one.
That is a few weeks of work in most states. We tell you which course to take, help you study, and walk you through the exam and the carrier paperwork after it.
Then don't. Plenty of people here began around a full time job, ran appointments on evenings and weekends, and decided later what they wanted to do with it.
Our story
Built by two people who
wanted it done right.
Both founders sold for a living long before either of them wrote a life insurance policy. That background is the reason this agency trains the way it does.
Lanz Domalaon spent his early career in the Marine Corps working supply and logistics. Make sure people have what they need before they need it. He moved into sales after that, and life insurance turned out to be the same job with different paperwork.
Dustin Nguyen came up as a senior sales representative across several industries and finished as a top producer in more than one of them. Selling something people did not wake up wanting is a skill, and it transfers. The product changes. Sitting across from someone and being straight with them when the answer is no does not.
Between them that is years of commission sales, in rooms where the number was posted and everybody could see it. Neither inherited a book. Neither was handed a territory. Nobody here gets a phone list and a good luck. Every new person is trained by someone who still writes business.
The work
Work that
actually matters.
Six product lines. You will know all six before you present any of them.
Term Life
Coverage for a set number of years. Young families buy it because it is the cheapest way to cover a mortgage or kids at home. The tricky part is the end of the term, and a client needs to hear plainly what happens on that date.
Whole Life
Permanent coverage with a fixed premium, a guaranteed death benefit, and cash value that builds on a set schedule. Clients who want certainty buy it. The tricky part is price, since the same death benefit costs several times what term costs.
Final Expense
A small permanent policy that covers a funeral and the bills right after it. Older clients buy it, usually through simplified underwriting with no exam. The tricky part is the health questions, because the wrong carrier turns an easy case into a decline.
Mortgage Protection
Coverage sized to the balance on a house so a family can stay in it if an income stops. Recent buyers and people who just refinanced buy it. The tricky part is that it is usually a term policy, and clients expect something more complicated.
Indexed Universal Life
Permanent coverage with cash value credited against a market index. Clients who want a death benefit plus money they can reach while they are alive buy it. The tricky part is the illustration, because the numbers on it are projections and you have to say so.
Annuities
A contract with a carrier that turns savings into income a client cannot outlive. People near or already in retirement buy them. The tricky part is the surrender period, because the money is committed for years and a client who missed that gets upset later.
We also write business and key person coverage for owners who need it. Infinite Banking is one strategy some clients ask about, and every agent here is trained on it.
The numbers
We don't sell dreams.
We show the math.
One ordinary week for one agent, line by line, and what that pace adds up to over a year. Every call in it is inbound, from a family who reached out first. Nobody here dials a cold list, and every figure below is a current team average you can check with a calculator.
One working week
Per agent · Inbound only33 presentations × 27% × $1,206
About 75% of submitted business gets issued and paid
That is $8,059 a week. Over a full year at that pace it runs $419,073 effectuated, on $558,764 submitted. Run rates off a weekly average, not booked results.
Submitted and effectuated, in plain English
Submitted is an application we send to the carrier. It is not money yet. Some of it gets declined, some of it never pays a first premium, and some clients change their mind. Effectuated is the business that actually got issued and paid for. That is the number that pays you, so it is the one we lead with. Any agency quoting you submitted premium and calling it production is showing you the bigger number on purpose.
Inbound conversations a year at 50 a week
Families protected a year at about 9 a week
These are current team averages, not projections. The monthly and annual figures are run rates built from a weekly average, and not a promise of production. Not every answered call becomes a presentation, which is why both lines are shown. The 75% placement rate is an average and varies by carrier, by product, and by how well a case is screened before it goes in. Individual results vary by person, by state, by carrier, and by the effort an agent puts in. Nothing on this page is a guarantee of income.
The system
You're never
doing this alone.
Four things every new agent gets, whether it is your first week or your fiftieth.
Taught from scratch
Training on every product line we carry, underwriting basics, and how to run an appointment from the first question to the application.
A playbook that works
The same scripts, forms, and follow up steps the whole team uses. You are not inventing a process on your own.
A mentor in your corner
One person assigned to you who takes your calls, reviews your cases, and tells you the truth about what went wrong.
Licensed with our help
Which course to take, what the state exam covers, and how to get appointed with carriers once you pass.
The culture
There are four words
behind the shield.
Four words, and none of them are decoration. This is what each one looks like on an ordinary working day.
Strength
Driving out on a Saturday because that is the only time the family can meet.
Diligence
Reading the illustration twice before you ever put it in front of someone.
Integrity
Telling a client term is the better fit even when it pays you less.
Legacy
What the family is left with. It is the only score that counts.
A family gets protected next month.
It could be by you.
The path
We don't hire.
We invite.
Three steps, and you can stop after any of them.
Request an invite
Fill out the short form below. It takes a minute and it goes straight to leadership, not a call center.
Talk with leadership
A real conversation about your situation, what the work involves, and whether it fits. No pressure in either direction.
Start training
If we both say yes, you get a start date, a mentor, and a licensing plan if you need one.

Seats are limited.
On purpose.
Leadership runs every interview personally, so only a handful of seats open each month. Tell us where you are and we will reach out.
